Their label hoobae B.A.P got their own solo concert last month, and now SECRET is having theirs! Not only are they holding a concert, they’ll become the 4th K-pop girl group to have their own solo concert in Singapore by bringing ‘SECRET Live in Singapore‘ to fans on the 29th. This puts them on the same level as Girls’ Generation, 2NE1, and Wonder Girls.
The girls headed to Singapore on the 17th for a press conference on their concert with about 30 media outlets. Because she was so excited, Hyosung even took to her Twitter to write, “For my loves, SECRETTIME. I’m so excited. Our make up teacher and hair teacher must have the hands of a god. Well, not really, but he pretended like he was to promote his upcoming song! He posted photos of himself behind a mask during the filming for his new MV, and tweeted, “‘Michi GO’ MV SHOOTING“. He also uploaded a photo of himself without a mask alongside a mask photo onto his Instagram and captioned it, “‘Michi GO’ MV Shooting. Me vs me“.

Lee Hi confident in YG Entertainment, but a bit lonely.

‘Super rookie’ Lee Hi, who recently came back with “It’s Over“, expressed her happiness with current agency, YG Entertainment, and its CEO, Yang Hyun Suk.

In a recent interview with OSEN, she gushed about the benefits. “I really don’t have a single thing to be unhappy about with my agency,” she said. “He [Yang Hyun Suk] cares a lot about me. He always tells me to do things this way, or that way, so he eliminates a lot of the hard things about being a soloist. He’s like a father.”

The only thing worrying her is how to improve. “I don’t have anything on my mind, except what kind of image I’ll be showing next time. I’m very happy.”

Davichi to return through radio program before making TV appearances for comeback.

Davichiwill finally be returning with their second full-length album!

Rather than making an on-screen return first, the girls instead will come back on Kim Shin Young‘s radio program on March 18th, the same day that they release ‘Mystic Ballad‘. They will also be discussing the process of their return on the show and the new music in their album.

They stated, “We want to appear on the radio more often in order to introduce all of the songs on our album and explain them to the audience. If you have time, please tune into the afternoon radio and listen to the story of our music.”

Davichi has already been dominating music charts with their single “Turtle” and will hopefully do just as well with their new title song “Take a Drink Together“.

‘LIE’s creative director stated, “Following the opening of our pop-up store in the Lotte department store in February, we were able to open another store in the Shinsegae department store. We plan to increase our brand awareness by opening more pop-up stores this April. As the first house brand of its kind, we plan to differentiate the brand through our a unique and sensible style.”

Several media outlets reported that Son Dam Bi had been cast for a role in the upcoming MBC drama ‘Gold, Appear!’ (‘I Summon You, Gold!‘), but her agency Pledis Entertainment denied the rumors, stating that they’re still reviewing the offer.

Son Dam Bi’s camp stated, “Her casting for ‘Gold, Appear!’ has not been confirmed yet. We are reviewing her next production, and we only received the casting offer so far.”

'Inkigayo' reveals the details of its new ranking system

SBS‘ ‘Inkigayo‘ will be returning to iys ranking system starting this week, and more details on how the new chart will work have been revealed.

The new ‘Inkigayo’ chart will no longer count physical album sales and broadcast points, and will focus on only digital sales, fan votes, and SNS points. An ‘Inkigayo’ representative revealed, “Digital sales will count for 50%, SNS points 30%, and mobile votes for 20% [of the total score].”

This system will be different from the one that ‘Music Bank‘ uses as it steers away from the emphasis on physical album sales. Because ‘Inkigayo’ has determined that actual album sales are difficult to track and get an accurate estimate from, it has done away with physical sales completely. This will prove to be a challenge for male idol groups, whose physical album sales are strong factors.

The SNS points will be calculated based on artists’ popularity on social media sites such as YouTube and Twitter. Fans will also be able to cast their mobile votes through SBS’ official mobile app, SOTY. The free SOTY app can be downloaded for both iOS and Android.

After practicing on baby dolls, ZE:A‘s Kwanghee and SECRET‘s Sunhwa will try real parenthood on the upcoming episode of MBC‘s ‘We Got Married‘.

The adorable Moon Brothers (Mason, Mavin, and Maden) visited the on-screen couple and became their children for one day. Everything seemed to be going smoothly until all three brothers asked to go to the bathroom at the same time.

2NE1 Se7en and Sean to help those in need at '2013 Severance Love Sharing Concert'

YG Entertainment artists 2NE1, Se7en and Jinusean's Sean will share the love for those in need by performing at the ‘2013 Severance Love Sharing Concert‘, which will be held at Yonsei University on the 7th.

The Severance Hospital has been working to spread the culture of sharing and societal contributions. To bring awareness to their public fundraising campaign ‘Let’s Make Forest‘, the hospital will be holding a concert featuring fellow contributors from YG Entertainment. 2NE1 and Se7en will be doing their part to make the world a better place by performing a congratulatory stage, while Sean will share his lecture ‘Singer Sean’s Sharing Story’ with fans.

SHINee‘s Taemin ruffled feathers with a comment about his supposed “weight gain.”

On the latest episode of ‘SHINee’s Wonderful Day‘, Taemin went on an amazing 4-day trip to Switzerland to try out some extreme sports. During his trip, he found a public phone box that was completely different than the ones in Korea and tried to get in. However, there was so much snow around the phone box and he wore a padded jacket, so he had a hard time getting it to open.

In the end, Taemin joked, “I got stuck in the entrance because I gained too much weight,” which annoyed a few viewers. Since Taemin is well-known for his incredibly thin body, his comment made fans say, “If you gained weight, what does that say about me…“, “Can you please actually gain weight?“, “Stop being ridiculous“, and more.
